This Author Hangout is sure to be informative as Annie brings so much knowledge on North Street Book Awards. At each stage, she'll talk about common mistakes authors make while applying for these awards and how to avoid them. She'll also go into detail about what, in the view of the North Street judges, makes a book truly distinctive in different areas.

Annie Mydla has screened over 3,500 self-published books for Winning Writers' North Street Book Prize. A keen reader, her other hobbies include jigsaw puzzles and academic scholarship. Mydla has published analytical essays on literature and film in international journals such as Avaant, The Yearbook of Conrad Studies, and Lublin Studies in Modern Languages and Literature. She is also the author of an upcoming blog post for the Alliance of Independent Authors, in which she details exactly what the judges of the North Street Book Prize look for in a self-published book.
