Amy Weaver from Wekom joins us to discuss creating your book trailers, read-alouds and promo videos for your new book.

About Amy:

Amy Weaver teaches English as foreign language in a primary school in Russia. She started writing in 2015 blogging, which gained quite a following (over 50'000 views in the 9 months). She then branched out into children's books, penning tales about Hippomottie the adventurous Space Hippo to bring to life the Hippomottie Learn To Dress Toy that she created with her partner.

They decided to "animate" the books in a simple format, effectively turning them into video versions of the book to be broadcast on YouTube as a read aloud for children. The videos became very popular and other Authors requested assistance to do the same for their books. That's how Videobooks By Wekom was born.

Videobooks are an excellent and diverse way of promoting picture story books. Amy is currently working with an exciting software that enables us to animate existing 2D drawings, which will really bring the characters in stories alive.
